"Most thrilling to me are the new questions, both cognitive and physical, elicited by investigation. I strive to create a classroom infused with humor and spaciousness, so that students may embrace the vulnerability that so often fosters growth. "

Studio Class Description
The goal of my technique classes, no matter the idiom, is to explore the interplay between technical prowess and personal artistry. Utilizing various elements of somatic practice and conditioning, class opens with a warm-up that allows dancers the opportunity to investigate anatomical integrity inside their subjective bodies. Movement progressions focus on balancing full-throttled expansiveness with nuanced clarity. Special attention is paid to developing musicality and allowing artistic choices to surface from the sensation of the movement itself.
